MELVA MEDINA ORTIZ
Born in Morelia, Michoacan, March 21 1964.
Melva Medina is a graduate from the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving; “la Esmeralda” of the National Institute of Beautiful Arts in Mexico City. She has a Masters Degree in Visual Arts from the San Carlos Academy and Postgraduate studies at the National Independent University of Mexico (UNAM). Her career mainly emphasizes the teaching area, since a great part of her experience is based on giving courses in painting, sculpture, drawing, and engraving in different techniques and different levels of schooling.
Her works of art have been exhibited in places like: The Tlactilca Cultural Museum in the Estate of Mexico; San Carlos Academy in Mexico City; National Independent University of Mexico; The Emerald Gallery of the National Institute of Beautiful Arts; Rufino Tamayo Museum; University Cultural Center; Exhibition hall Miguel Cobarruvias UNAM; Exhibition of Mexican Plastics; Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey; the Regional Museum of Queretaro; Legislative Palace of Zacatecas; the Mexican Society of Plastic Artist in Tepic; Nayarit; Lights of Mexico in Morelia Michoacan.

ABEL VÁZQUEZ
1959 Born in Cuyotepeji, Huajuapan de Leon, Oaxaca, Mexico
Abel Vazquez studied at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda” of the National Institute of Beautiful Arts in Mexico City. His experience as a plastic producer includes monumental work elaboration, teaching his artistic skills and the creation of his personal unique and original work.
His art is collected and shown on a National and International level. He is recognized as one of the most prolific contemporary artists today in Mexico. His works have been exhibited in museums through out Mexico City, including the International Contemporary Art Museum “Rufino Tamayo”, Modern Art Museum, University of el Chopo Museum, the Contemporary Art Cultural Center, the San Carlos Academy, Cultural Platform Siqueiros, Mining Palace, and the National Medical Center Gallery century XXI. His work is in other galleries and private collections including the Bankers Club of Mexico, the Iberoamericana University, Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey, and the Pedro Domecq House. His work is catalogued by the Sumaya Museum, the UNAM Sculptures Dictionary, the Cultural Acervo Center at the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey, Austrian Center of Mexico, the Authors of Plastic Arts Society (SOMAAP in Spanish), Luis Donaldo Colosio Foundation, Mexican Red Cross, Latinamerican Art, and the Beaux Artes Museum of Mexico in Chicago. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions in Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Phoenix Arizona and his works can be seen in galleries and private collections everywhere in the world.
